Pricewise Privacy Policy
Effective 30 October 2026
For our website and other apps, see Privacy at Logyte.
This policy explains how Logyte Systems LLP ("Logyte", "we") handles personal data in Pricewise (the app and the web app at pricewise.logyte.com) and on logyte.com. We collect as little as we can: our apps work fully on your device without an account, and we never sell your data or use it for advertising.
1. Using an app without an account
Everything you enter — your business details, items, costs, prices, quotes and the people using the device — stays in a database on your device. It isn't sent to us. Uninstalling the app (or clearing the browser's site data, for the web version) deletes it.
2. With an account
An account is optional. You need one to share a business with your team, use it on another device, or get Pricewise Pro. Then we process:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address, and a password (stored only as a protected verifier by Amazon Cognito) or your Google or Apple sign-in | To create your account, sign you in and send account emails such as verification and password-reset codes. |
| Your name, if Google or Apple share it | Kept with your account; we don't currently use it for anything else. |
| Business data you choose to share: business settings (including a logo, brand colour and quote terms, if you add them), items, costs, materials, prices, quotes, and who belongs to the business with which role | To keep it in sync between your devices and the members of your business. Syncing is part of Pricewise Pro: without it, your data stays on your device. |
| Your Pro plan: where it was bought, its status and the date it renews or ends, and the store's customer and subscription IDs. A free trial is recorded the same way. | To unlock Pro on every device you sign in on, cover the members of your business, and let you manage or cancel your subscription. |
| A record of changes to shared business data (who changed what, and when) | So a business can see its history and detect tampering (an audit log). |
| Email addresses you invite, with your name and the business name | To show the invitation in the app and send the invited person one email about it. |
Some data always stays on your device, even when signed in: your calculations, device settings, and the people and PINs set up on that device.
3. Who processes it for us
- Amazon Web Services hosts our servers and databases, runs sign-in (Amazon Cognito) and sends our emails (Amazon SES), in its Mumbai (ap-south-1) region in India.
- Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record, sells Pricewise Pro on the web and on Windows. When you buy, Paddle collects your name, email address, country, payment details and tax information under its own privacy policy, and its checkout (on pricewise.logyte.com/checkout.html) may use cookies for payment and fraud prevention. We receive only your subscription's ID, status and dates and your Paddle customer ID. We never see your card details.
- Google or Apple, only if you choose to sign in with them. Their own privacy policies apply to your account with them; they tell us your email address (and, if they share it, your name).
We don't share personal data with anyone else, except when the law requires it.
4. Invitations
When someone who manages a business's team invites you, we store your email address with the invitation and send you one email saying who invited you, to which business, and how to join. We send no reminders and no marketing. Nothing happens unless you accept; an invitation you don't accept expires after 14 days.
5. How long we keep it
- Your account until you delete it. In the app, go to Settings → Team → Account → Delete account. This deletes your sign-in, removes you from every business, and deletes businesses no one else is in.
- Shared business data as long as the business exists. A business's change history stays with that business for its records after a member leaves.
- Backups of our database are kept for up to 14 days, then deleted.
- Pro plan records while your account exists. Deleting your account first cancels any Pro subscription bought through Paddle, so you aren't charged again. Afterwards we keep the plan record (IDs, status and dates, without your email) only as long as accounting and tax law require; Paddle keeps its own sales records as the seller.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest on our servers. Each person sees only the businesses they belong to, and the server checks every change against their role in that business.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to stop processing it, and you can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account. Write to support@logyte.com; we reply within 30 days. If you're unhappy with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India or your local data protection authority.
8. This website
logyte.com sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. Its fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them. The early-access form opens your own email app; we receive only what you choose to send.
9. Children
Our apps are for businesses and aren't directed at children under 18.
10. Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change, and change the date at the top. For significant changes we'll tell signed-in users in the app.
